The call for proposals entitled “Agri-environmental management payments” can be considered
The environmentally conscious production approach is increasingly becoming a part of the management of our time. Within the framework of the new Common Agricultural Policy Strategy Plan (KAP ST), the call for “Agri-Environmental Management Payments” (AKG), launched again with European Union co-financing, creates a serious opportunity for an even wider range of farmers to continue their farming activities in accordance with green regulations, in the spirit of sustainability.
At the social consultation of the completed AKG call, which is now starting, the Ministry of Agár is waiting for the opinions of those involved, as every comment counts in order to meet the sustainable management goals. The soon-to-be-started AKG will start on January 1, 2025 and end on December 31, 2029, i.e. it will last for 5 years The scheme encourages farmers, in the form of a non-refundable flat-rate subsidy, to undertake practices related to crop cultivation and turf management, which contribute to preserving and improving the state of the environment. The support is received annually by the persons concerned by submitting the payment request, which is part of the Unified Application, to be submitted every year. Payments are subject to compliance with the undertaken activities during the commitment period.
About 17,000 farmers with 1.2 million hectares of agricultural land participated in the current three-year agri-environmental management program, which ends at the end of 2024
The call was prepared in recent months with the involvement of the widest range of professional organizations. The comments received during socialization are answered and published by the National Management Authority, creating an opportunity for the partner organizations to get to know each other’s opinions.
