German retail sales grew again
Retail sales in Germany increased in April, after a four-month decline, according to a statement published by the Federal Statistical Office, Destatis, on Wednesday. The monthly rate of increase is the highest for one and a half years.
According to the preliminary data, the retail turnover in Germany in April increased by 2.3 percent, compared to the previous month, calendary and seasonal effect adjusted. The market expected a 0.5 percent increase after the 0.4 percent decline of March. (MTI)
