Vintage to be completed soon
At most of the wine regions, the harvest of the grapes has been finished; more than ninety percent of the plantations are harvested – said Horváth Csaba, Secretary-General of the National Council of the Mountain Villages (HNT) on Monday.
According to the Secretary-General; this year from about 400-450 tons of grapes, about 2.5 million hectoliters of wine is expected to be produced. This exceeds last year's 1.8 million hectoliters, but is below the average of 3.0 million per year. The lower yield is mainly due to the spring frost and drought, there were no plant health problems – noted Horváth Csaba – reports MTI.
