End of the ages of cheap Chinese products?
For a good thirty years, China increasingly produced more and cheaper, but this will soon come to an end – says Bruce Rockowitz, the managing director of Li and Fung trading company, who believes it can cause significant price increases in several areas.
The manager believes, that prices in clothing and household goods will rise strongly in the future, while the price of Chinese-made electronic goods will decline. The Li and Fung trading company is one of the major exporter of clothing and household goods in the Asian region and conducts most of the supplies to companies including Marks and Spencer, Metro and Wal-Mart – reports Világgazdaság Online, after ORF.
