M&S: Private label wine selection to go vegan by 2022
M&S has announced plans to offer an entirely vegan-friendly private label wine range by the end of 2022. They are the first major retailer to make this pledge. M&S’s food division said that while 70 percent of its private label wine range is already vegan-friendly, it will now make sure any animal product used to make wine is substituted with plant-based alternatives. M&S first marked its private label wines as ‘suitable for vegetarians’ back in 1998, with ‘suitable for vegans’ following in 2005.
