VAT cut and financial support
The Hungarian Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) and the Ministry for National Economy are in talks about which food and agricultural products will be added to the list of 5-percent VAT products. Tamás Éder, NAK’s vice president responsible for the food industry stressed: the chamber has been fighting hard to get funding for food industry businesses, especially for the HUF 100 billion sum that is available within the framework of the Economic Development and Innovation Operative Programme (GINOP). Money will also be available for agri-food companies from the budget of the Irinyi Plan.. //
