Confectioner jamboree in Vas County
At the end of September sunny weather and hospitable hosts welcomed confectioners and their families to Vas County.

In the three-day field trip the first stop was Mészáros confectionery. Owner Gábor Mészáros said hello to colleagues, who visited the workshop and took part in a dessert demonstration by master pastry chef Ádám Varga. Next András Nemény, the mayor of Szombathely welcomed guests and took them on a tour around the city. The group then had the opportunity to visit the Iseum and listened to a short presentation by the museum’s director, Ottó Sostarits.

Sunny weather awaited the team
A calorie-rich lunch followed in Pannónia restaurant and then an excursion to Kőszeg. Early next morning participants left for the Zotter chocolate factory in Austria. The next stop was the village of Bozsok, where they met with László Banga and his wife Vera Somogyi, and then mayor Anikó Banga. On the third day participants had the opportunity to visit the famous Harrer chocolate workshop and confectionery in Sopron. //
