The reduced VAT is expected to be introduced in the Romanian meat industry
The reduced 9 percent VAT is expected to be introduced in the Romanian meat industry -Achim Irimescu Minister of State for Agriculture announced on Wednesday.
The Minister of State said, that the introduction of the measure depends largely on the success of the preferential VAT on bread. In Romania, the general VAT is 24 percent. This was reduced in the case of bread and bakery products to 9 percent on 1 September. The government hopes that tax frauds will decline in the sector, due to the introduction of the measure. (MTI)
