Varga Mihály: economy already revived the a bit in June, but the half-year GDP may decrease by 5 percent
The economy picked up slightly in June, but GDP in the second quarter may still shrink by 10 percent year-on-year and shrink by 5 percent in the second half of the year, exceeding the previously expected, optimistic 3 percent forecast, Finance Minister told Kossuth Radio.
Varga Mihály said that the biggest annual decline was in April, when the decline was 20 percent. The economic slowdown slowed in May, and the trend reversed at the end of the month, and there were already signs of a slight recovery in June. (MTI)
