Varga Árpád: there is no solution to eliminate the VAT frauds
“It is not realistic that a change occurs in the VAT system not only in Hungary, but nor anywhere in EU as well. It should be noted that the VAT frauds can not be eradicated, there will always be cheaters in the VAT system”- Varga Árpád, vice president of the National Tax and Customs Administration said in an interview of the www.ado.hu portal.
The NAV finds an approximately 500 billion HUF tax gap each year and despite the authoruity finds increasing tax differences from year to year, it is a constant struggle, because the volume of frauds continue to grow. Despite this, there are new plans for 2014: the tax authority trusts in the system of e-toll and online cash registers.
