Is there anything cooler than ice cold?
No, there isn’t! Bartenders aren’t just reinventing cocktails but they also have creative ideas for decorating them. This is also true for the ice, for instance our magazine’s favourites are the large ice balls or cubes that only melt in 30-40 minutes. What is more, there are also ice cubes which contain some of the cocktail’s ingredients, so that when they are melting the drink tastes the same.
Frozen wine cubes also exist – these keep the white or rosé wine fresh and don’t ruin its taste when melting. Another ice cube trend is the appearance of what we call convenience ice cubes: decoration material, fruits, fruit juices and syrups are put in the freezer and used as ice with drinks, e.g. for a radler we can make ice with lemon peel and syrup in it.
