The questions are available on the consultation website in all official languages of the EU, including Hungarian, for 14 weeks, until Wednesday, January 11, 2023. By filling in as many as possible, we can get a more effective picture of domestic interests, opinions, and consumption habits, which will be of considerable help in the future when representing the interests of the specialist field. The questionnaire contains two groups of questions based on the quality of the questionnaire. In one, the opinions of consumers who consume prepackaged food on a daily basis and use kitchen utensils (e.g. cutlery, pans, food storage containers, etc.) that may come into contact with food are sought. To fill in as a consumer – which takes approximately 10 minutes – at the beginning of the questionnaire, you must select the option “As a citizen of the European Union” for the question “I am filling in the following capacity”. It is important that the questions addressed to the user group have a practical aspect, and to answer them it is not necessary to know the materials that come into contact with food or the relevant legislation.
The other type of questionnaire is addressed to businesses (for example, manufacturers, importers, distributors), consumer organizations, scientific institutions, and institutions involved in the enforcement and enforcement of the rules on the topic. In their case, in order to fill in, you need to know the basics of the current regulations regarding substances that come into contact with food.
The questionnaire can be accessed from the following link until January 11, 2023:

It is important that the Hungarian stakeholders represent themselves in the survey as much as possible
By filling in a large number, we can get a more effective picture of domestic interests, opinions, and consumption habits, which will be of considerable help later on in the representation of specialist interests. Further information or help regarding the questionnaire can be requested at the e-mail address fcmhu@nebih.gov.hu.
