In the coming days, two corporate innovation tenders will be launched, worth a total of 182 billion forints in GINOP Plusz, said the Deputy State Secretary for Innovation of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation (KIM) at a press conference in Budapest on Friday.

One of the tenders is a focus area tender aimed at supporting the product development of innovative Hungarian enterprises, and the other is a tender supporting the innovation of business processes of micro and small enterprises. The second phase of the former and the third phase of the latter are being launched, explained László Bódis.

He added that the budget for the product development tender is 107 billion forints, of which 5 billion forints were allocated in the first phase, so that more than one hundred billion forints of resources are still available in the current second phase.

The total budget for supporting the innovation of business processes is 75 billion forints, of which a significant amount is still available, as enterprises have requested 34 billion forints of support in the previous phases of the programme.

László ódis said that after the first phase of the focus area applications, the opinions of the enterprises were asked, and the second phase was modified based on the feedback.

Accordingly, two sub-programs were announced in the application entitled Support for Innovation Projects in Focus Areas. In the first sub-program, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises can apply for support of between 100 and 600 million forints, for product and technological development.

In exchange for the support, they are expected to create new products, technologies, services and successfully bring them to the market, and to protect them with a patent or other industrial property rights, if possible.

In the second sub-program, the amount of support available can range from 600 million forints to 1.2 billion forints. Here, however, after the implementation of the project, the enterprises concerned are also expected to generate sales revenue from their new products within 2-3 years.
