Brand new apple varieties are tested

The National Food Chain Safety Office (NÉBIH) introduced fifteen new resistant apple varieties from domestic plantations. If the type tests will be completed with positive results, the new varieties will be included into the National Catalog of Varieties – the agrarszektor.hu wrote.

The cultivation of the so-called resistant apple varieties plays an important role in domestic apple production. This is the most innovative trend of variety production worldwide – the communication of NÉBIH states. Their importance is that they are capable to use reduced chemical use, they are particularly suitable for ecological and bio cultivation, thus – in addition to the introduction of more environmentally friendly technologies – they are enable to produce healthier fruits.
