In June the Shell MobilePayment service was launched exclusively for Shell’s B2B partners: this makes it possible for drivers to pay using the Shell app without having to go into the shop and hand over their fuel card at the checkout. Smaller companies can use the Shell Fleet App: in this up to 10 fuel cards can be registered and the service offers a “smart” solution with a fully automated system. Since 2022 seven new Shell service stations have opened in Hungary, and the one in Mosonmagyaróvár and another in Becsehely have automated fuel dispensers specifically dedicated to freight transport.
“With the proliferation of plug-in hybrid and fully electric vehicles, the demand for electric charging stations is growing. Currently Shell has more than 200 charging points at 47 locations, mostly in the car parks of Tesco supermarkets and at some Shell fuel stations”,
informs Tamás Csabai, head of fleet solutions at Shell.
Sustainable solutions
Operating expenses account for more than 50% of the expenditure of shipping companies, with fuel consumption being the most significant.
“Currently one of the most effective ways to ensure controlled and safe spending is to use fuel cards, which offer several financial benefits besides controlled use”,
explains László Kálmán, country manager of Eurowag W.A.G. payment solutions a.s. in Hungary.
Dávid Halász, the company’s head of alternative fuels reports that a growing number of environmentally conscious customers are looking for ways to reduce emissions from commercial road transport.
“Promoting sustainable approaches is a primary focus for Eurowag, and by making HVO100 fuel available we are committed to a greener future”,
he adds.
With its own filling stations and a network of more than 15,000 partner service stations – including 1,500 offering alternative fuels too – Eurowag guarantees competitive fuel prices across Europe. //
A new, modern look
OMV has taken another step in the direction of transforming the company: over the next three years, they will introduce a new image in seven countries, including Hungary. The strategy aims to contribute to creating a world where sustainable energy, mobility and lifestyle can become a reality for all. //
