Pest control procedures in the food industry
An extremely helpful tool in raising awareness about pest control procedures. The document provides a comprehensive, yet concise, guide to pest control that is complimented by the use of very detailed and colourful pictures throughout. The FSA welcomes the CIEHs efforts to raise awareness of pest control procedures in the food industry and the increased consumer protection that should result.
Since it was featured in Environmental Health Practitioner, NPAP have received over 300 requests for copies of the document and over 1000 copies are being distributed to local authority food inspectors, consultatnts and quality assurance managers this week. One major London authority has requested 100 copies to pass on to its food inspectors and the major food establishments in its borough.
We understand that the guidance notes will also be used by trainers in the food industry as a standard text book for students.
Copies of the document can be downloaded from the NPAP website www.cieh-npap.org. Alternatively copies of the printed document can be ordered direct, free of charge, by e-mail from npap@cieh.org. Please provide a postal address and specify the number of copies required.
