EU research center: almost half of the EU territory is threatened by drought

An increasingly severe drought is hitting Europe
According to the document, the drought that has been affecting several European regions since the beginning of the year is spreading and worsening. The lack of precipitation has an impact on the water flow of rivers, and the amount of stored water has also decreased, which has had a negative impact on the energy sector. (Andits Eszter, MTI)
