EU Commissioner: the European Commission makes proposals to improve European competitiveness
In the coming weeks, the European Commission will present a series of proposals to improve European industry and competitiveness, this is particularly urgent in the current, challenging situation, said Maros Sefcovic, the member responsible for inter-institutional relations of the European Commission in Brussels on Tuesday.
The commissioner said at the press conference following the meeting of the ministers responsible for EU affairs of the EU member states: in the current situation, the level playing field is distorted, therefore EU regulations and policies must be adapted to this “new reality”, making them simpler and more flexible.
“Our global competitors are moving full steam ahead, and we need to keep up with critical technology investments and job retention here in Europe”
