Unilever for a circular economy
Unilever announced that by 2025 all of the packaging material they use will be fully reusable, recyclable of compostable. At the same time the company asked FMCG product manufacturers to speed up their efforts for realising a so-called circular economy. Formerly, as part of the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan (USLP), Unilever made a pledge to cut the weight of packaging material used by one third until 2020, and to increase the proportion of recycled plastic use by 25 percent until 2025. /
