Designer shoes made from recycled coffee grounds by Nespresso
Nespresso and the French fashion startup Zèta created street shoes from recycled coffee grounds to draw attention to the importance of selective collection and recycling of coffee capsules.
After Hublot, Caran d’Ache, Vélosophy and Pannonhalmi Abbey, Nespresso presents with another iconic collaboration how recycled coffee capsules can be given new life. The limited edition shoe collection was inspired by the principles of zero waste emission and eco-design, as well as French style.
50 percent of used Nespresso capsules are already returned to the brand
Both the global and Hungarian take-back rates are constantly increasing, which is a good example of the fact that customers are becoming more and more aware when developing their shopping habits. At home, more than 50 percent of used Nespresso capsules are returned to the brand for recycling. In addition to food, among other things, the extent of the environmental footprint of wardrobes is also a question that is increasingly preoccupying people. It was this trend that inspired the collaboration of fashion startup Zèta, known for its eco-conscious shoes, and Nespresso to create a sneaker collection made using recycled coffee grounds.
