Christmas tree made from recycled household waste and recycled clothes hangers at Tesco
The Secretary of State took the opportunity at the event to draw attention to the importance of recycling.
Sustainability is at the heart of the chain’s strategy, so in line with its 2019 commitment, it removed a total of 454 tonnes of non-recyclable materials from its own-brand packaging by September this year and removed 64 tonnes of plastic by redesigning the packaging.
