Nestlé invests in recycled and sustainable packaging solutions
Nestlé is investing approximately CHF 2 billion in switching from new to food-industry- quality recycled plastic use, at the same time speeding up the process of developing innovative sustainable packaging designs too. In 2018 Nestlé made a commitment to use 100-percent recyclable or reusable packaging materials by 2025. As part of another pledge, the company will also cut new plastic use by one third until 2025, and will make great efforts to stop polluting waters with plastic waste – informed Nestlé CEO Mark Schneider.
