Simple redefines shopping with mobile phone
After one year of developing and testing, OTP Mobil’s Simple smartphone app debuted at Budapest’s Sziget Festival. The free app, which can already be downloaded from both Google Play and the Appstore, redefines the whole process of buying with mobile phone. OTP Mobil managing director Péter Benyó told that the new app doesn’t simply replace a debit card but covers the full purchasing process, from selecting the product to paying for it. For instance in certain bars or restaurants Simple can be used to check the menu, order and pay. No one likes to wait for a long time to be served and the testing period brought positive experiences from both the owner and the guest sides. Simple can also be used to order food from 300 restaurants, buy drinks from vending machines, read what’s on at the cinema and buy the tickets. Mr Benyó informed us that now the goal is to have more places where Simple can be used – and of course to have more users as well. In the next phase they focus on adding new services.
