The dog of the State Fisheries Service, Bandita, is back in service
Bandita, the dog of the State Fisheries Service, successfully passed the exam requirements again. The four-legged fish guard and his dog handler both performed excellently in this year’s round of the exam, which is due every two years, and consists of skill and guard-protection situational tasks, so they can continue working together.
In addition to the staff of the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih), only a dog that has passed an exam can perform service tasks with the dog handler with whom he successfully passed the exam. The exam is valid for 2 calendar years after taking it, after which it must be renewed. According to this, Bandita’s exam was due again this year. As in previous years, the exam began with obedience and skill tasks, during which Bandita had to perform various distracting, calling, and free-tracking tasks, and in the skill tasks, her task was to jump over various obstacles. After the completion of these modules, the guard-protector situational tasks followed. Bandita first had to secure a measure while muzzled, then parry an aggressive attack during the measure without the muzzle.
Bandita and her dog handler partner both successfully completed the tasks of the exam, they received the appropriate qualification again, so they can continue working together.
