Elek Nagy was re-elected president of the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry
The representative assembly of the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BKIK), which represents nearly 40 percent of Hungarian individual and cooperative enterprises, unanimously elected Elek Nagy as the president of the board for another four years.
During his presidency, Elek Nagy successfully consolidated the BKIK and significantly expanded the chamber’s domestic and international network of contacts. As a result of the strengthening of the culture of cooperation, direct dialogue with businesses, a preliminary assessment of the needs of businesses, and continuous customer service development based on this became the basis of the chambers’ successful advocacy activities.
Dr. Ádám Balog was unanimously elected as the general vice president of BKIK.
In the operation of the chambers of commerce and industry, this year is being renovated. The process started in the spring at the regional chambers, and then ends with the autumn renewal and presidential election of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK). The new president of MKIK is elected by the delegates of the regional chambers.
