The event market is back in full swing – the corporate event marketing segment achieved 78.4 billion in revenue in 2024
The Hungarian Advertising Association (MRSZ) and its affiliates presented the 2024 spending data of the domestic media and communications market at a joint conference on March 27. According to the figures presented, the revenue of the corporate event marketing market reached 78.4 billion forints in 2024, which represents a 4.3% increase compared to the previous year, announced Gábor Rókusfalvy, CEO of Roxer Kommunikációs Kft., Vice President of MaReSz, according to an article by Turizmus.com.
The sector’s performance is particularly noteworthy in light of the fact that in 2023 – the first year after the complete lifting of Covid restrictions – a record revenue of 75.5 billion was generated, which then represented a 23% increase compared to 2022. The current expansion therefore indicates that the market has returned to its normal growth path and stabilized after the epidemic period.
The value of personal experience is increasing
The demand for corporate events and meetings continues to grow – in fact, according to the latest international forecasts, the role of personal meetings will continue to increase in 2025. 82% of European event organizers have already stated that they are planning hybrid or fully in-person events next year that prioritize direct contact building.
“Monitoring international event market trends, we need to keep up with new experience trends, with a special focus on sustainability, digitalization, experience-based events and inclusivity – these will be the focus topics of the event industry in 2025,”
emphasized Gábor Rókusfalvy.
