The hotels in Vienna reached a new record last year
The number of guest nights spent in Vienna reached a new record last year, including the number of Hungarian guest nights as well – the Vienna Tourist Board told in its statement on Monday. Vienna tourism launches a campaign in Budapest, that aims young people.
The number of guest nights spent in Vienna in 2012 amounted to 12.3 million. This is 7.5 percent higher than in the previous year, while in 2011, the increase was five percent.
Last year, the number of guest nights spent by Hungarians was 140 thousand, 13 percent more than in the previous year. 40 percent of the Hungarian guest nights was spent in four-star hotels, 30 percent was spent in three star hotels. (MTI)
