More than HUF 1,000bn is earmarked for green measures under the rural development pillar of the CAP Strategic Plan. There are 20,000 applications for the agri-environmental programme and 5,800 for organic farming; HUF 64bn is available for afforestation and the Natura 2000 programme sets out to protect biodiversity. //
