The factory in Környe is expanding with new production technology
The new extruder production line and production area were inaugurated in a ceremonial setting at Henkel Adhesive Technologies’ adhesive factory in Környe. The event was also attended by Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The new production technology installed in Környe offers an innovative solution for the production of thermoplastic hot melt adhesives. Henkel supplies adhesives to industrial partners from its Hungarian factory to all countries in Europe. The combined investment value of the machinery, equipment and related building infrastructure reached 30 million euros.
Henkel Hungary Kft. has been present on the Hungarian market since 1987 as the first Henkel company in the Central and Eastern European region. The company has been operating successfully in two business areas – Adhesive Technologies and Consumer Brands – for almost four decades. Henkel is a global market leader in adhesives, sealants and functional coatings, so the multi-technology adhesive factory in Környe also plays a significant role.
In his speech, Péter Szijjártó explained that German companies have played a key role in the performance of the Hungarian economy for decades. He also highlighted that Henkel Hungary, which has been present for 38 years, also has an exemplary social responsibility, having implemented more than five hundred charity projects in the recent period.
“Henkel is committed to Hungary in the long term. The decision in which country the company invests is always the result of a thorough internal analysis, for which the business environment created by the Hungarian government is also an important aspect. The new extruder investment serves to expand the production technology and increase the capacity of the neighboring plant”
– said Dr. Ágnes Fábián, Managing Director.
