The use of the Electronic Business Diary has been expanded with new functions
In order to simplify the administrative obligations of farmers, the electronic Farming Diary (eGN) was launched at the beginning of 2023. The National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) integrates the data contained in the currently separate e-spray log, farm log and nitrate data sheet systems into this new public administration service. It is extremely important information for farmers that their data provided in the unified application will appear in the eGN system in the second half of July.
In addition, NÉBIH has already expanded the range of functions available to farmers in eGN, thanks to which the administrative burden on farmers is further reduced. The aim of the NÉBIH in the future is that, through continuous development, farmers will be able to upload data on a particularly user-friendly interface.
As a result of the current development, farmers can enjoy two new opportunities
On the one hand, the “Copy” function became possible in the system, with which the farmer can easily transfer the operation performed in a specific area to all other tables where he also performed the same work operation. However, it is worth considering that when copying utilizations, copying can only be done to production sites of the same type of cultivation, while in the case of operations, farmers can choose between production sites and utilizations. A big advantage of the new function is that, among the operations, plant protection monitoring can be copied even with the related operations.
Another innovation is related to the ability to export data
There was a great demand from the farmers that the uploaded data could be exported in Excel (xlsx) format as well. This has now become possible, both in a “printer-friendly” format and in a wide format, which is more helpful in data analysis. It is worth paying attention to the fact that a generated file can only be downloaded for a limited time, but a new version of the current data content can be generated at any time. In relation to the system, Nébih will continue to monitor the comments and needs of farmers and other service companies in the future and will try to further develop the eGN taking them into account.
