Fipronil eggs were found again in the Netherlands
Fipronil was detected in pesticides in the Netherlands at an organic farm. Farmers apparently did not learn fom the case last year – agrarszektor.hu wrote.
The scandal first exploded in 2017, due to illegal fipronil. The insecticidal agent is soluble in fat and therefore accumulates in the body and slowly damages the liver. The active ingredient was found in Dutch eggs, but as it turned out, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy and France also apply those counterfeit formulations into which the insecticide was mixed.
