A new dairy plant was handed over

The food industry is one of the driving forces of the Hungarian economy, with 4,500 businesses providing jobs and livelihoods to 86,000 people, the parliamentary Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture announced in Csabacsűd, Békés County on Wednesday, before handing over the dairy plant of the Szarvasi Agrár Zrt.

Farkas Sándor said that within the whole food industry, dairy processing represents 11 percent and generates a production value of 294 billion HUF. 10 percent of the sector’s investment is in the dairy industry. (MTI)
