New aid scheme for beekeepers
In order to make beekeeping more competitive and to maintain the health of bee populations, the Ministry of Agriculture has developed a new support scheme for beekeepers – Magyar Nemzet Online wrote.
This year, the ministry has allocated six hundred million forints to help 1.2 million bee colonies of some twenty thousand beekeepers. Eligible beekeepers can claim five hundred forints per hive, ie beehive. If the applications exceed the amount available the aid rate will be reduced proportionately. (magyarnemzet.hu)
