New rules are coming for crop rotation and the designation of non-productive areas
The European Commission has recently made it clear that by 2024 it will no longer consider it justified and will not allow member states to provide their farmers with a temporary exemption from the new rules for crop rotation and designation of non-productive areas that must be followed for area-based subsidies.

In practice, therefore, next year the EU expectations set out in the approved Hungarian KAP Strategic Plan, but not yet applied this year, will come into effect according to the regulations of the Good Agricultural and Environmental Status (HMKÁ). In the information campaign prior to the submission of the 2023 unified application, these basic rules became available to everyone in detail in the publications and information materials. Regarding the detailed technical rules for the submission of the unified application, as well as the conditions related to each form of support, the laws in force are always applicable.
