New StarStore – Retailer of the Year winners at the 2022 awards ceremony
For the 8th time this year, Trade magazin invited store chains registered in Hungary to compete. The award ceremony of the prestigious competition took place at the gala dinner of the largest conference of the profession, Business Days.
In the StarStore – Retailer of the Year competition, stores were launched where the design best suits the sales concept, the external and internal store appearance, product presentation, staff, and service harmonize with the needs of the target group, and all of this is reflected in communication. There were no restrictions on the profile of the stores, all operating categories were given the opportunity, from grocery stores to bookstores, to national tobacco shops, as well as pharmacies, manufacturer brand stores and, from this year, catering units as well. Owners or tenants, architects, designers, contractors can be nominated jointly or individually. This year, the competition of store chains continued, in the same categories, based on market results, successes, development goals and complex operational evaluations.
In total, more than thirty applications were judged by the renowned professional jury, but customers also had the opportunity to highlight their favorites with an audience award, both among the places that applied and among the chains. In addition to the category winners, there were also absolute winners in both the shops and chain competitions, who received the most points from the jury.
