Cobra beer focus on new markets
Cobra is eyeing annual sales growth of 50% over the next three years and has earmarked India as key to meeting that target.
UK based Cobra Beer, founded by an Indian-born entrepreneur
Karan Bilimoria in 1989. The company has a brewery in UK and also has contract brewing operations in
Poland, Belgium, Holland and India. After big succes in UK the company wants to increase it's
market, and get a new CEO.
Adrian McKeon, who earlier this month stood down from his
post at Beam UK, will assume his new role at Cobra in August. Lord Karan
Bilimoria, Cobra's founder, will vacate the position and move up to become
executive chairman.
Last September, Cobra lined up a GBP10m (US$19m) marketing
campaign in the UK. The investment came two months after the company revealed
it had raised GBP27.5m to fund expansion in key markets worldwide.
