New grading system in the hotel industry

Previously nobody checked the grading of hotels, that was based on self classification, but now according to the new rating system the old stars should be trademarked. Those who will be unauthorized to use it can expect hard punishment.

The new rating system is based on the trademark procedure. The star mark will stay for hotels, while sunflower will be the sign of village accomodiations, other categories will use crown sign in their ratings system.
Moreover, the Hungarian Hotel Association joined to the initiative of the European Union, which aims to set up a common hotel rating system. The new rating system will be introduced in Hungary until next January – reports Népszabadság.
