New Hungarian HR director at the head of Tesco
Tesco has appointed a new HR manager in Hungary. On January 1 of this year, Norbert Túróczi took over the position from Barbara Szigeti, who continues her work as HR manager of Tesco Business Solutions and Technology.
Tesco Hungary started the year with a new HR manager. The position has been held by Norbert Túróczi, who has been working for the company for 11 years, since January 1. The specialist started working at Tesco in 2012 as a Reward Manager responsible for company benefits and since then has proven his leadership skills in several HR areas. The introduction of the cafeteria in Hungary, the fixed 15 percent staff discount for employees, and the successful implementation of several development programs both in the stores and in the central office are connected to his name and to the team he leads.
The experienced specialist obtained a master’s degree in economics at Corvinus University, and a postgraduate qualification in labor law at the University of Pécs. He started his career in the field of HR at the business consultancy Hay Group, after which he joined Tesco. In his most recent job, Túróczi was responsible for the management of Tesco’s HR centers of excellence in Central Europe for more than five years, and as a member of the company’s regional HR management, he provided the professional management of a diverse team of more than 50 people.
