New trading houses in Asia and Africa
In December Hungary opened four new trading houses: in Mongolia, Morocco, Botswana and the Republic of South Africa. Mongolia has great potential for Hungary, in the last two years the GDP growth was above 10 percent and Hungarian export rose 20 percent in 2013. Morocco is Hungary’s fifth most important trading partner in Africa. In the first 11 months of 2014 our Moroccan export grew by 24 percent. Dr György Kerekes, the CEO of Hungarian National Trading House Zrt. (MNKH) told that Botswana shows demand for Hungarian food products, raw materials and machinery. South Africa offers excellent opportunities for us in machine manufacturing, electronics, ICT, pharmaceutical products, biotechnology, medical equipment manufacturing, water management, education, agriculture, the energy sector, environmental protection and tourism
