New Commercial and HR Director at Hungary’s largest fleet manager, Ayvens
Ayvens Hungary, the largest fleet manager and mobility service provider in Hungary, has appointed two new directors. With the merger of ALD Automotive and LeasePlan, the company, which now manages a fleet of around 33,000 cars, has appointed Dávid Papp as its commercial director and Klára Somogyi as its HR director.
Dávid Papp came to Ayvens Hungary to head the commercial team with 17 years of experience, primarily in the IT and telecommunications sectors. Previously, he was the corporate sales and marketing director of Vodafone Hungary for three years. He joined the telecommunications company as a network engineer in 2009, from where he rose to the positions of project manager, technical director and then sales director. He led the technical processes of Vodafone Business’s entry into the fixed-line market in 2016, during which he was responsible for the development of value-added services and the establishment of the technical directorate responsible for their support. Later, as a large-scale CTO, he was responsible for integrating the technical areas of UPC and Vodafone, supporting the corporate segment, into a new, highly functional board. Under his leadership, the company achieved significant results in the digitalization of the domestic industrial and logistics segment: this includes the delivery of the country’s first 5G private networks and the launch of artificial intelligence-based services in the sector.
As the commercial director of Ayvens Hungary, Dávid Papp is responsible for a team of nearly 70 people who carry out the company’s sales, customer service and marketing activities.
“The fact that the largest fleet manager and mobility service provider in our country has been created from the merger of two market-leading companies is both an extraordinary opportunity and a challenge. I think it is important that we do not view the company’s leadership position as a given, but rather that we think of it as a merit that we have to work hard for every day.
“The integration is a very exciting and complex process, during which we aim to take advantage of the opportunity to carry forward the best of the good solutions available from both companies, all while ensuring that customer service is at the highest possible level and that colleagues remain satisfied,”
said Dávid Papp, who said that the focus of the next period will be on growth in addition to the efficient implementation of the next steps of the integration.
