A new website will help relaunch intra-EU tourism safely
The European Commission has launched the Re-open EU online platform for re-launching travel and tourism in Europe, available at reopen.europa.eu, which provides real-time information on the state of borders and transport information in the 24 official languages of the European Union as well as tourism services – the EU commission announced on Monday.
Internal Market Commissioner Thierry Breton said that the website provides practical information on travel restrictions, public health and safety measures, and EU and national tourism offers. Based on information from Member States, it provides data on some 30 transport, public health and tourism indicators, complemented by data from the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).
