This year, for the 6th time, the ÖKO Expo in Debrecen awaits producers, processors, traders, service providers and, of course, consumers interested in organic farming. At the event, the focus of professional presentations and lectures supporting knowledge transfer is on solutions and technologies that help the everyday lives of organic farmers and sustainability.

The National Chamber of Agriculture will organize the ÖKO Expo Exhibition and Conference for the sixth time between September 9-10, 2025. The conference awaits visitors at a new location this year. The focus of the two-day exhibition, held at the Innovation Center of the University of Debrecen, will again be on practical machine demonstrations, and many renowned international researchers and practicing organic farmers will come to our conferences, who are happy to share their results and experiences with those interested. The two-day program addresses a wide spectrum of interests: the focus of professional presentations and lectures supporting interactive knowledge transfer is on solutions and technologies that help organic farmers’ everyday lives and sustainability.

The lectures at the event will take place in three sections

The first section focuses on soil life. The speakers will seek answers to questions such as what makes soil healthy and what its parameters are; why soil life is important; why healthy soil is essential for farmers; how soil life can be increased. In addition, those interested can also obtain valuable information on the nutritional biological properties of organic foods and the results of research on the topic. The second section will discuss the application of soil renewal practices in organic farms and sales opportunities. During the presentations, interested parties can gain insight into soil renewal practices used in bio-intensive vegetable production, learn about the possibilities of weed control, and obtain useful information about the importance of organic seeds. In addition to professional issues, economic opportunities will also be discussed. Participants can learn about the process of selling organic agricultural products from preparations to sales. The third section deals with dual vocational training, and in addition to vocational training centers, farmers will also share their experiences with dual training. The aim of the National Chamber of Agriculture is to offer the event an opportunity to present and meet all actors involved in organic farming – producers, processors, traders, service providers, scientific experts, and consultants, and consumers can get to know the producers of organic food up close, from the production process to sales.
