New factory manager at the head of Continental’s Vác plant: Sándor Győrffy will take up the position from October 1

The post of factory manager of Vác ContiTech Fluid Automotive Hungária Kft., which belongs to the Continental group, will be filled by Sándor Győrffy, the head of quality management, from October 1, 2023. His predecessor, Csaba Purgel, greatly contributed to the successful and sustainable operation of the Vác plant, who raised the company’s product and technology portfolio to a new level with numerous developments. After more than 16 successful years, Csaba Purgel is facing new challenges within the company group: from August 1, he will continue his career as regional manager of the EMEA East operational area of the ContiTech OESL business unit.

Sándor Győrffy joined the Continental factory in Veszprém in 2010, where he worked in the field of quality assurance, and from 2019 as the quality management manager of Continental in Vác. “Our task is to deliver our products to our customers with a sustainable and competitive business operation with the maximum fulfillment of quality requirements. The motto of the Vác factory, “Forming Connections”, does not “only” mean the processing of the components built into the products, but also the strengthening of human relations, teamwork, trust and mutual support. We can only be successful together, so prioritizing our inherent potential, energy and continuous development is the essential recipe for the future of the factory, for strengthening competitiveness”, Sándor Győrffy pointed out.

The new factory director also emphasized that during the long and successful development journey of the Vác factory, it strengthened its position all along by being able to continuously renew itself. The big mission of the coming years is to be able to exploit even more innovation opportunities, in addition, they continue to put a lot of emphasis on motivating employees and implementing new projects – in order to make maximum use of the factory’s capacities.
