The National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) has recently implemented several developments in the electronic Farming Log (eGN) system in order to make everyday data management even simpler and more transparent. The new features include, among others, support for data provision related to the Spraying Logbook management (PN) and Farming in Nitrate-sensitive areas (NET) legal titles, as well as the expansion of filtering options when copying data and the introduction of date transfer.

In the system, blue ‘N’ and red ‘P’ icons now refer to the farming in nitrate-sensitive areas and spraying logbook management legal titles. The icons are visible next to the main data sheets and in various fields and indicate the data sheets and fields that are required to be completed if the given legal titles are involved. It is important to highlight that the markings appear in all logs, so they are also visible to farmers who are not affected by these legal titles. Although technically not all marked fields are mandatory to be filled in the eGN, from a legal perspective, the provision of this data is still required! According to the relevant regulation*, spraying data must still be provided on the Nébih eGN interface, the rules for keeping logs have not changed in the case of plant protection treatments. The office draws the attention of farmers that the spraying log and nitrate data cannot be provided on any other interface, only in the Nébih system! It is therefore important that farmers continue to upload their spraying data to the Office’s registration system, adhering to the 24-hour recording obligation if necessary, and otherwise by the deadline of January 31, 2026. Producers affected by nitrate data reporting are also required to upload their farming data to the eGN system by March 31, 2026 at the latest.
