Munch introduces new restaurant service
Munch Club has launched, offering exclusive restaurant 1+1 Deals and extra discounted food savings across Budapest. The new service invites users on a gastronomic journey of discovery, thereby promoting the joy of shared meals and making food savings even more affordable. Among the partners we can already find Fragola, Mazel Tovo, some units of Burger King, Indigo Express, Tapassio, and the world champion pizza maker Forni di Napoli. Munch now also means restaurant discovery in addition to food savings. Through Munch Club, members can discover all kinds of lunch and dinner options, from exclusive restaurant experiences, to international brands, to hidden local treasures.
Currently, more than 100 restaurants await those for whom dining is also relaxation or a gastronomic adventure. The new service is currently available in Budapest and will be continuously expanded nationwide with the addition of new partners. “Ever since I was a child, going to a restaurant has been a family tradition for us – it’s always been a shared experience for us. We at the Munch team passionately believe that eating is about connection, discovery and community. When Munch launched during COVID, we heard so many stories about how munching is not just about saving food, but also about rediscovering: behind every bite are people and stories. After quarantine, many have forgotten this, while the digital world has increasingly pushed shared meals to the background.
With Munch Club, we want to bring this back – to re-focus on encounters, respect for food, and the commitment to choosing discovery, presence and awareness over waste,” said Kirill Perepelica, co-founder of Munch. The founders of Munch believe that shared moments and quality time are more important than ever. 1+1 Deals are available with all partners, so Munch Club members can get two for the price of one dish.
In addition, the restaurants also provide additional offers that are only available to Munch Club members. The Deals are a good opportunity to get together with friends, colleagues or your partner, in the company of a plate of delicious food. Behind the new initiative of the food rescue startup is the desire for discovery, the joy of going to a restaurant and the love of food. How does Munch Club work? The operation of Munch Club is extremely simple. After subscribing, you can access and book Deals in the application. However, unlike food rescue Munches, you do not have to pay in the application, but on site, at the given partner. A table party can use one Deal and the same offer can typically be redeemed in a restaurant every 7 or 30 days. When ordering, the guest must indicate that they are a Munch Club member and can choose a dish according to the description of the Deal. The two-year membership currently starts at 990 HUF per month, so in most cases, if you redeem a Deal every month, the two-year membership fee will be repaid.
