Mercadona Launches New Chocolate Range In Portugal
Spanish supermarket chain Mercadona has launched a high-cocoa chocolate SKU in Portugal as part of its Hacendado private label range.
The Negro 99% tablet is produced locally by Imperial, and will go on sale in 1,636 Mercadona stores in Portugal and Spain.
In line with the retailer’s transparency policy, all the information about the product, the supplier and its origin is present on the labels.
Aimed at lovers of intensely-flavoured dark chocolate, the 100 gram tablet is composed of at least 99% cocoa, as it has only three ingredients: cocoa paste, cocoa powder and cocoa butter. Furthermore, it has no added sugar or sweeteners and is a gluten-free product.
