TUTSZ Salon at the Hungarian Museum of Commerce and Hospitality

Endre Bártfai, President of TUTSZ, greeted the guests and fellow members present and said that the reason for choosing the location was the exhibition presenting the history of the Hungarian Golden Key and the Hungarian hotel industry, which he was the initiator of, and TUTSZ also cooperated in the creation of the exhibition. Afterwards, Dr. Róbert Török, Director of MKVM, welcomed the attendees and gave a brief information about the museum’s activities and plans. Endre Bártfai then invited Dr. Éva Schultz, member of TUTSZ, to give a presentation on the relationship between museums and tourism.

In the lecture, Éva Schultz presented the role of the modern museum based on her doctoral dissertation, highlighting the experience-centeredness, the spatiality of museums, and the issue of visitor activity. After the lecture, those present remembered Dr. László Csizmadia, former director general of BGE KVIK, and former president of FATOSZ, who passed away 5 years ago. Dr. Csilla Szalók explained in her speech what role László Csizmadia played in the life of the institution, highlighting his achievements in curriculum development and the development of tourism professional training. Prof. Dr. Árpád Hanusz spoke about their shared life journey, remembered the time spent in the leadership of FTOSZ and then FATOSZ and the achievements achieved, such as the development of the Rural Tourism Manager training, and showed two short videos about their shared experiences. After the commemoration, Endre Bártfai gave a guided tour of the exhibition and introduced the exhibition to those present.
