UNWTO: tourism in Europe may grow by 3-4 percent this year
This year, the growth in the number of international tourist arrivals is expected to be around 3-4 percent worldwide. In Europe, a similar growth is expected – according to the expaectations of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) – the Magyar Turizmus (MT) Zrt. desribes the recent World Tourism Barometer Report of the UNWTO.
According to the most recent 2014 data Hungary is among the best in the growth of international tourist arrivals. The Hungarian growth rate last year was three times higher than the world average and more than four times faster than the European average. In Hungary, the number of international tourist arrivals increased by 13.7 percent to 12.1 million in 2014. (MTI)
