Europe’s largest horticultural fair opens in Tulln
The highlight of Austria’s horticultural year will once again be the Tulln International Horticultural Fair, taking place from August 28 to September 1, 2025. At the region’s largest horticultural event, 450 exhibitors will showcase the latest trends – from garden design and outdoor furniture to winter gardens, photovoltaic solutions, and garden barbecuing.
Blooming Stories and Melodies
The central attraction of the event is Europe’s largest flower exhibition, which this year is built around the theme “Blooming Stories and Melodies”. Around 200,000 flowers will be transformed into spectacular compositions inspired by literary classics (“Around the World in 80 Days”, “Perfume”), famous musicals (“The Phantom of the Opera”, “Moulin Rouge”, “Romeo and Juliet”), and operas (“Aida”, “The Magic Flute”).
Thematic Gardens and Displays
Visitors can admire, among others, the “Asian Garden” by Starkl Nursery, the “Colorful Autumn Garden” of Praskac Plant World, the “Living in the Green” concept of Kittenberger Adventure Gardens, and the “Happy Lower Austria” botanical collection of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Agriculture. On the ORF NÖ stage, gardening tips, floral arranging shows, and young talents will also take the spotlight.
Water in the Garden – Pools and Natural Baths
Hall 3 will focus entirely on water: modern swimming pools, natural bathing ponds, pool enclosures, hot tubs, outdoor saunas, and a wide range of accessories await visitors. Those interested in gardening technology, tools, and solar solutions for the garden will also find a rich selection.
New: Garden Barbecuing
A new theme at the fair is garden barbecuing – on Thursday, August 28 at 4:00 p.m., in the western outdoor area, Adi Matzek, two-time world barbecue champion, will host a live grilling show.
Autumn is Planting Season
The exhibition will feature a wide range of flowers, flower bulbs, fruit and ornamental trees, perennials, and vegetables – making it the ideal opportunity for autumn planting and garden shopping.
