A survival guide for those at Sziget
After a two-year hiatus, the Sziget Festival is back! Diageo, the world’s leading alcoholic beverage producer and distributor, and Sziget have put together some useful and practical tips to help you see all the bands and singers you want.
Spin at your own pace!
We await you on the Island with colorful programs all day long. Concerts, circus performances, wurstli, stand-up comedy and puppet shows – you will never be bored here. The festival never stops, but you can still take a break. Don’t start drinking early, just think about how annoying it is to have to go to the bathroom all the time and lose your place in the crowd! Drink one or two soft drinks and mineral water between alcoholic drinks, and always consume alcohol at your own pace and in moderation! You don’t have to keep up with your friends – it’s not a competition, you won’t get a gold medal, but the next day you might not remember the best concert of your life!
Moisturize!
Between August 10 and 15, we can most likely expect summer heat. For this reason alone, it is important to make up for the lack of water, but if you are dancing in the heat to your favorite concert, make sure that you always have a bottle full of water with you. When drinking alcohol, take into account that it dehydrates you! If you don’t pay attention to drinking the right amount of water, you may feel bad due to the lack of water and you may even miss your favorite performer. The Sziget drinking water is waiting for you with points throughout the festival area – look for the drops of water on the map!
